Exploring the Presence of American Firms in Brazil

Zoran, like, had so many tea to spill about all the drama with his coworkers.

He told me that these stories straight up gave him major chills and made him feel so shook. He spilled the tea and told me one of his stories:OMG going to the workplace without English totally triggered Paulius's anxiety over time. Like, it's such a mood, you know? This made him hella vulnerable at work and caused mad problems with his supervisor(s) / line manager(s). Paulius decided to flex They were like, "Yo, even though they were getting roasted and hearing all those savage jokes, they were still putting in mad work and always down to help with the heavy load." Paulius be like:

OMG, like as migrant workers with our ethnic vibes and culture, we're totally prone to getting picked on for no reason and dealing with major racial discrimination. It's so unfair, smh. Like, conflicts always go down when I gotta work with locals, you know? Yo, like both guys and girls were victims of all that suffering, ya know? But it makes you wonder if the ladies have dealt with other messed up stuff like sexual harm or suffering, ya feel me? I tried to understand what the few female participants meant when they said "sexual harassment from their employers'25." They were like, "Yo, there was some messed up stuff going on with that sexual touching." They were like making this point but like didn't even expand on that, ya know? So, like, I couldn't find a solid explanation, but it seems their bosses might have been acting all sus and making them feel hella uncomfortable and triggered. I also like totally got that this harassment could have involved any sexual stuff that they didn't or couldn't consent to. When the interview was like, totally over, I straight up guided them through the road to a solution, ya know?

I was like, "Yo, that harassment is straight up illegal and totally discriminates, according to the Equality Act 2010.

If they feel like they got treated unfairly or less cool just 'cause they stood up against that behavior, they could totally make a compensation claim, you know?" I also like, lowkey mentioned that if they ever go through that discrimination stuff, they can totally hit up Citizens’ Advice Bureau (CAB), Equality Advisory Support Service (EASS), Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) or like, take it to the civil courts, you know? OMG, like I totally get that some peeps might have some major misconceptions about equality and equal opportunity, ya know? omg the stories of Dalena, Paulius, and Zoran show how these peeps got treated like trash by the local workers. it's so not cool, fam. Such stories really show how crucial it is for farm migrants to get the tea on equal status, rights, and opportunities at their job. Havin' a mad deep understanding in these issues is hella important, not just for flexin' cultural capital, but also for callin' out the gov to deal with abuse and regulate that cultural capital game.
Paulius is a total Lithuanian legend, ya know? He totally got a vocational qualification on this lit food prep employee training program from Jonava Polytechnic School in Lithuania. So dope! In 2007, he started hustlin' as a food prep assistant in the manufacturing and production game (food product manufacture). His qualz and expz enabled him to select appropes tools and tech equip needed for food prep techz including nutri tech and id the qualz of ingreds in acc with sanitary and hygienic reqs.Paulius pulled up in Scotland in like, early 2010. He straight up spilled his feelings on day one of working for a Scottish farmer: I was hella embarrassed and lowkey ashamed of my English. I had to keep hitting up my co-workers for help because I couldn't vibe with my supervisor, you feel me? I was hella lucky 'cause some workers (both local and migrants) helped me out, ya know? But they helped me only with matters related to supervisors' 'to do' list, ya know? Farmers were out here growing mad plants and herbs that I had no clue about, fam. I had hella questions but I had no clue how to flex all the lit keywords.

Employee-relations (migrant-non-migrant)

When asked if peeps felt like others were chill to work with, most of the squad said that people were just meh. Native workers didn't bother them cuz they didn't trouble them either. There was like zero drama in their relationship, fam. Gracja is one of them, ya know?Boris totally vibed with his co-workers and made the most of those interactions, ya know? He was like, "Yo, these migrant-non-migrant relationships are lit!" I have mad support from my co-workers, fam. Some are Scottish and some are from Bulgaria, Romania and other East European countries, ya know? Most of them are hella good and I can totally rely on them 24/7. We do hella lit activities during lunchtime, fam. Also we be havin' mad interactions on social media, fam.Evidence from policy interviews also suggests that migrant workers don't feel hella alienated or isolated at work and there's generally good vibes between them and resident / local workers. Evidence of a chill work vibe and zero racism and bullying vibes also came up during policy interviews. Despite this tea, migrants be claiming they the victims of racial prejudice at work. SMH. Less than one third of peeps said that their coworkers be straight up using verbal abuse that made them feel hella uncomfortable and scared to go to work.PAULIUS: feeling like qualifications are, like, way more than just the basic job requirements, ya know?
